How I work

Pride in the craft. No corners cut.

Jack taught me to "do the right thing even when you can't see it or no one is looking." That's still how I work.

What I believe

Pride in the craft

I learned on slate, a niche specialty craft, where every detail matters. I bring that same care to every roof.

No corners cut

You can't see most of a roof from the ground. Jack climbed 40 feet of scaffolding to make sure every detail was right anyway, and so do I.

Honesty

Recovery taught me to own my mistakes and tell the truth. The relationships that matter most to me are built on trust, honesty, and commitment.

Always learning

Still learning, every day

Jack taught us tips and tricks "shared across oceans and ages," and my uncle became my biggest mentor and teacher. Getting sober on 8-8-18 taught me something too: the work of healing, learning, and understanding yourself never really stops. I bring that same attitude to the trade. After more than 20 years in roofing and leadership, I'm still learning.

Every job, done the way I was taught

I've seen roofing from every angle. I started as a general laborer, became a foreman and then a safety supervisor, and over the years I held every position there was. Whether it's a shed, a small home, a school, or a university, the standard is the same: every detail done right and no corners cut, even on the parts you'll never see from the ground.
